TAG TP develops, implements and supports a range of technology products for the ground travel and transport industries. TAG TP’s business model is to retain all intellectual property rights in the technology that it develops and to market the products under Application Service Provider (ASP) agreements

TAG owns the intellectual property in a number of travel and transport related technology products, notably:

TAG TP Platform

A secure web based application that manages the life cycle of consolidated ground transport, from profile management and reservation, across business rules and distribution, through to secure invoicing and management information. The TAG TP Platform delivers a single access point to ground travel content globally. The platform is Microsoft based and incorporates a presentation layer of .net and ASP, and a SQL server database.

TAG TP XML

An exposed suite of web services that facilitate the integration of ground transport booking tools with a variety of other online applications. Industry Standard SOAP web services expose functions to quote, book, amend and cancel ground transport. Ground service providers can link their various systems with ease to this TAG TP switch – opening up their content worldwide. Equally online travel booking tools can access and integrate ground travel content from within their booking systems via an integration with the TAG TP XML. The switch product is built entirely in Microsoft .net.

TAG TP GDS

A desktop application that will work across the main GDS tools within the travel agent and management company community and facilitates seamless integration with ground transportation booking systems. The tool reads relevant booking information including segment and profile data from the GDS system and passes that information via TAG TP XML to ground transport booking platforms. On confirmation the TAG TP GDS sends the reservation directly to the chosen service provider, writing the segment and associated notes back into the GDS system.

Current development of the application has been undertaken for Galileo, future development planned for Sabre, Abacus & Amadeus.

TAG TP Mobile

A mobile phone application that brings ground transport reservations and amendments to customers’ handsets. The application leverages traveller profile data via the TAG TP XML to facilitate fast data booking by retrieving previously configured favourite journeys. Journeys can be booked, amended and cancelled securely through the application.

Version 1 of this product was developed as a native Blackberry application.
